The objective of the Department of Animal Sciences and Technologies is to raise experts equipped with the right planning, management and research skills and sectoral experience to enhance quality and efficiency in husbandry. The graduates of this department can be employed as managers at stock farming facilities on an industrial scale, experts at feed production facilities, researchers at research centers, scholars in the education sector, as well as as corporate entrepreneurs.
The objective of the undergraduate curriculum administered by the Department of Animal Sciences and Technologies is to to raise professionals equipped with efficient planning, management and research skills and sectoral experiences to boost the quality and efficiency in animal breeding and aquafarming.
To graduate from the Department whose medium of instruction is English, all senior students are obliged to complete a long-term internship in the sector for one year.
The graduates of the Department of Animal Sciences and Technologies can also work at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, municipalities, banks, associations of producers and other private institutions engaged in agriculture.
