The objective of the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences and Cultivation is to raise experts who would contribute to farming of particularly forage crops, cereals, fruits and vegetables, as well as other value-added agricultural goods. Its curriculum focuses on utilization of the precise agricultural technologies (Agriculture 4.0) at integrated facilities and small businesses.
To graduate from the Department whose medium of instruction is English, all senior students are obliged to complete a long-term internship in the sector for one year.
The curriculum of the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences and Cultivation is mainly focused on utilization of the precise agricultural technologies (Agriculture 4.0) at complex integrated facilities and small businesses engaged in farming forage crops, cereals, fruits, vegetables and other value-added agricultural goods.
The graduates of the Department of of Plant and Soil Sciences and Cultivation can work at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, state and foundation universities, Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, associations of agricultural producers, private and state banks, other state and private agricultural institutions engaged in growing seedlings, saplings and seeds and biotechnology, as well as at agricultural production businesses, analysis laboratories, organic agriculture businesses, agricultural consultation firms, and businesses engaged in selling and marketing plant conservation products.
